Kia India has officially launched the second-generation New Kia Seltos in the Indian market, with prices starting at ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the updated midsize SUV opened on December 11 with a token amount of ₹25,000, and customer deliveries are scheduled to begin from mid-January.
The New Kia Seltos is built on an all-new platform and is larger than the outgoing model, marking a significant update for one of Kia’s highest-selling vehicles in India.

New Kia Seltos Price Range and Variants
The New Kia Seltos is priced between ₹10.99 lakh and ₹19.99 lakh (ex-showroom), spanning a wide range of variants and powertrain combinations. Kia continues to offer the SUV with petrol and diesel engine options, catering to both private buyers and fleet customers.
In its segment, the Seltos continues to compete with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and Tata Sierra.
Larger Dimensions, New Design Direction

The 2026 Seltos adopts Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, giving it a more upright, boxier appearance compared to its predecessor. Key exterior elements include vertically stacked LED daytime running lights, a wide grille integrating the headlamp units, blacked-out pillars, retractable door handles, and a connected LED light bar at the rear.
Dimensionally, the new Seltos measures 4,460mm in length, 1,830mm in width, and 1,635mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,690mm. This represents notable gains in length, width, and wheelbase over the previous generation, which should translate into improved cabin space.
New Kia Seltos Interior and Features
Inside, the New Kia Seltos receives a more premium cabin layout with two 12.3-inch screens—one for the digital instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system—separated by a 5-inch climate control display. Kia has retained physical controls on the centre console for key functions.

Feature highlights include ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, 64-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 10-way powered driver’s seat, wireless smartphone connectivity, a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, and an eight-speaker Bose sound system.
Safety and Technology
Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, front and rear disc brakes, hill hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a reverse camera. The new Seltos also offers Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Kia has stated that the new platform features increased bodyshell rigidity, which could support a strong safety rating under Bharat NCAP.
Engines and Gearboxes

The second-generation New Kia Seltos retains the same three 1.5-litre engines as before: a naturally aspirated petrol, a turbo-petrol, and a diesel. Transmission options include manual, CVT, automatic, iMT, and dual-clutch units, depending on the engine. Kia has also confirmed that a petrol-hybrid version is under development, with an expected launch timeline around 2027.
What This Means for Buyers
With updated styling, more features, and expanded interior space, the New Kia Seltos strengthens its position in India’s highly competitive midsize SUV segment. The wide price range and multiple powertrain options are likely to help Kia retain its strong appeal among urban and family buyers.
All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India.
