Suzuki has officially entered India’s electric two-wheeler market with the launch of the Suzuki e-Access. The electric scooter has been priced at Rs 1.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and bookings have now commenced across the country. Deliveries are expected to begin shortly.
The launch marks Suzuki’s first mass-market electric scooter for India and follows an extended testing and preview phase that began last year.

LFP Battery and Claimed 95km Range
One of the key highlights of the e-Access is its Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, making it among the first scooters in India to adopt this chemistry. The 3kWh battery is part of Suzuki’s in-house electric platform, branded Suzuki e-Technology.
Suzuki claims the LFP battery offers a longer service life compared to conventional NMC batteries. The company says the battery and drivetrain have undergone extensive validation tests, including water submersion, vibration, thermal stress and drop testing, in line with global standards.
The e-Access has a claimed IDC range of 95km.
Motor, Riding Modes and Features

Powering the e-Access is a 4.1kW swingarm-mounted motor producing 15Nm of torque. The scooter comes with three riding modes—Eco, Ride A and Ride B—along with regenerative braking and a reverse assist function for low-speed manoeuvring.
Suzuki states that the scooter maintains consistent throttle response even at low battery charge levels, addressing a common concern among urban EV users.
The chassis uses a lightweight frame with the aluminium battery casing integrated into the structure, aimed at improving rigidity and overall stability. Final drive is via a belt system, which Suzuki claims is maintenance-free and rated for up to 70,000km or seven years.
Colours, Sales Network and Charging
Alongside the launch, Suzuki has introduced a new dual-tone matte blue and grey colour, taking the total number of colour options to four.
The e-Access will be sold through Suzuki’s network of over 1,200 dealerships nationwide. DC fast chargers are currently available at more than 240 outlets, while portable AC chargers will be offered across the full dealer network. Suzuki has also confirmed that the e-Access will be available on Flipkart once deliveries begin.
Suzuki E-Access Pricing and Market Positioning

At Rs 1.88 lakh, the e-Access is among the most expensive mass-market electric scooters in India. It sits between the Simple One Gen 2 (Rs 1.70 lakh) and the Ather 450 Apex (Rs 1.90 lakh), while undercutting none of the more affordable, high-volume electric scooters currently on sale.
To strengthen its launch offer, Suzuki is providing a 7-year/80,000km extended warranty at no extra cost, along with a 60 percent buy-back assurance for three years.
What It Means for Buyers
Suzuki E-Access brings brand credibility, an LFP battery and long warranty coverage to India’s EV scooter space. However, its premium pricing places it well above several locally developed rivals, setting up a clear test of whether buyers are willing to pay more for Suzuki’s engineering and ownership assurances.
The e-Access’ market response will be closely watched as Suzuki takes its first steps into India’s fast-growing electric two-wheeler segment.
