VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 Price Hike: VinFast has revised the prices of its electric SUV range in India following the end of its introductory pricing period. The Vietnamese EV maker has increased prices for both the VF 6 and VF 7, with hikes ranging from Rs 80,000 to Rs 1.30 lakh depending on the variant. The changes are now reflected across all trims of both models.

The revision comes just months after VinFast began retail operations in India, marking the company’s first major price update since its market entry.

The VinFast VF 6, which sits at the entry point of the brand’s India lineup, has seen price increases across all variants. The electric SUV is sold in three trims – Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity – all powered by a 59.6kWh battery pack.

The Earth variant is now Rs 80,000 more expensive, while the Wind and Wind Infinity trims have gone up by Rs 90,000 each. After the revision, the VF 6 now starts at Rs 17.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

Despite the hike, the VF 6 continues to offer a strong feature list for its segment. It comes equipped with connected LED daytime running lights and tail lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

For buyers, the increase slightly narrows the price advantage VinFast had during the introductory phase, but the VF 6 remains positioned as a feature-rich compact electric SUV.

VF 7 Sees Steeper Price Revision

The larger and more premium VF 7 has received higher price increases than the VF 6. The Earth variant of the VF 7 is now Rs 1 lakh more expensive, while the Wind trim has gone up by Rs 1.2 lakh. The top-spec Sky Infinity variant sees the biggest hike of Rs 1.30 lakh.

With these revisions, the VF 7 now starts at Rs 21.89 lakh (ex-showroom), pushing it further into the midsize electric SUV category.

The VF 7 is offered with two battery options. The 59.6kWh pack produces 175bhp, while the larger 70.8kWh unit delivers 201bhp, offering buyers a choice between performance and range. Feature highlights include a glass roof, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, powered driver seat, air purifier and dual-zone climate control, aimed at customers looking for a more premium EV experience.

VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 Price Hike- What This Means

The price revision reflects VinFast’s shift from introductory to regular pricing in India. For early buyers, the launch offers provided a noticeable cost advantage, which is no longer available to new customers.

For shoppers now considering the VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 Price Hike, the higher prices mean closer comparisons with rivals from Tata, MG, Hyundai and upcoming EVs from other brands. However, VinFast continues to position its products on high equipment levels and competitive battery specifications.

VinFast’s India Plans Continue

While VinFast’s initial sales volumes in India have been modest, the company is planning to widen its portfolio. Two more electric models – the compact VF 3 and the Limo Green electric MPV – are scheduled to be introduced in the coming months. These are expected to target different price bands and could help VinFast reach a broader customer base.

For now, the price hike marks the first step in VinFast’s transition from market entry phase to longer-term operations in India.
