AI Voice Assistant Developed With Soundhound
The new voice assistant, called “Violette”, is being developed in partnership with US-based Soundhound AI. The company’s voice technology is already used by global car manufacturers such as Fiat and Hyundai, and Ultraviolette is now adapting it for electric two-wheelers.
According to the company, the system will allow riders to interact with their vehicle using natural voice commands. This includes checking real-time information such as battery charge, ride modes, ride statistics and service status. Riders will also be able to control certain functions, including changing regeneration levels, adjusting traction control and starting navigation.
For Indian riders, this could mark a major shift in how connected electric two-wheelers are operated. Instead of relying on physical switches or navigating through touchscreen menus while riding, key commands could be issued verbally, potentially improving safety and ease of use.

Ultraviolette says the voice assistant is likely to function through a Bluetooth-based communicator worn by the rider. This device would capture spoken commands and relay them to the motorcycle or scooter, which then processes and executes the instruction.

The Violette voice assistant is expected to debut on one of Ultraviolette’s upcoming products planned for 2026. These include the Tesseract electric scooter and the Shockwave electric dirt bike, both of which are expected to introduce new hardware and software platforms.

There also appeared to be a small camera mounted at the top of the display, similar to a front-facing camera on a smartphone. While Ultraviolette has not explained its purpose, such a camera could enable new safety or convenience features in the future. At the same time, it raises questions about how rider data and privacy will be handled, especially if visual information is being captured.
